The Kubé family is an exercise in sobriety and juxtaposition. In Kubé 1, four flat surfaces meet in the center to form a deep, cross-shaped arrangement that provides stability without appearing heavy. The interaction between the flat, 124-centimeter by 124-centimeter square tabletop and the elongated legs creates dramatic shadows that add an extra dimension to the design's strong visual impact. A canvas or wood surface nestles within the top. Color combinations emphasize the table's dimensions: off-white with black edges and an off-white canvas or wood top, and pure black with a cream canvas or wood top.
